Intensive German courses at IIK e.V. in cooperation with the Georg-August-University of Göttingen,  A1 to C1, all year round

We offer morning and afternoon courses.
General German courses consist of up to 155 lessons in class
(1 lessons = 45 minutes) and 25 hours of independent study.

2017 course fees: € 460 for each level (A1-C1)

Before the course, you will have to do a placement test so that we can ensure you are in the level that is right for you. You will receive the invitation for this test approximately four weeks before the course starts.

At each level, we use modern as well as established teaching methods, an up-to-date course book and other materials carefully adapted to your needs. All teachers are highly qualified and have many years of experience in German as a foreign language.

Basic Level A1 to B1
These German language courses cover speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, of course including grammar and vocabulary.
The main emphasis of these courses is on practical communication in both academic and social German helping to develop fluency and confidence.

Intermediate and Advanced Level B2 to C1

These courses aim to further improve your skills in academic and everyday language. They are designed for students who have already done basic level courses and either wish to sit a German language exam or intend to study or work in Germany. Participants are given plenty of opportunities to practice their spoken German through discussions, debates and conversation activities, such as role-plays, pair and group work. To be successful, you will have a wide vocabulary, and be able to construct an argument and use appropriate communication styles for a variety of situations.

Registration for the German courses:

To enrol for a language course you will need the following documents in addition to a completed registration form:
passport
certificate of the last completed German course (if available)

You can transfer the course fees to our bank account. Please send us a copy of the remittance slip. After the acceptance at IIK e.V. you will have to pay the complete course fee for the first course within two weeks, the exact payment term will be stated in the confirmation mail. If you would like to participate in the following course, at least the registration fee (€220, €230 in 2019) has to be paid by transfer 3 weeks before the course is starting without any further request from our side to confirm your re-registration.
