Learning German and preparing for university
At our institute, we offer a wide range of intensive German courses and a wide-ranging supporting programme for university applicants and all other interested persons.
With us, you can prepare efficiently for the start of your studies at a German university, individually designed to meet your needs!
Join us to learn German in intensive courses from A1-C1 and then come to our exam preparation courses for DSH, TestDaF or telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule. Of course, we reserve places for you in the exams with our cooperation partners.

Our goal is that after attending our programme, you will be prepared for the language exams for university entrance and know the elementary study techniques you will need at German universities.
Our courses and counselling sessions almost always take place on the campus of Göttingen University, so you can get a first glimpse of campus life and take part in many student activities while you are preparing for your studies.

If you attend a language course at IIK, the → supporting programme is included:
In our intensive language courses you have daily lessons and can repeat and deepen what you have learned in the weekly → Open Tutorials.
Parallel to your course, you can choose from our range of individual → Language Learning Consultations, in which you will be supported in learning more independently and successfully and can try out many learning strategies and methods.
In addition, workshops are held regularly that focus on a wide range of topics, from intercultural competence to academic writing to successful learning with the internet, and thus introduce you to the requirements at German universities in a very varied way.
