INTERNATIONAL SUMMER COURSE 2026
Learning German at university in charming Göttingen
The 30th International Summer Course for German as a foreign language at the University of Göttingen! Since 1997 several thousand people from all over the world have been our guests. They have experienced a professionally instructed intensive language course as well as a wide variety of activities and events.
Every summer around 100 participants from more than 20 countries and cultures come together, joined by their common:

Date: 03 - 28 August 2026
Arrival: Please arrive in Göttingen on time to join the first day of the course (03 Aug).
Course starts: Monday, 03 August 2026
→ check-in and welcome in the morning, first lessons in the afternoon, mixer/get-to-know-each-other in the evening
Course ends: Friday, 28 August 2026
→ last lessons, certificate ceremony, farewell party
Departure: until Monday, 31 August 2026
Course fee: € 750 *
The course fee includes:
● language course (80 in-person/in-classroom lessons)
● teaching material (textbook and copies)
● language tutorials in the afternoons
● extracurricular activities incl. 2 day trips
The course fee does not include:
● boarding and lodging
