In 2023, there is the possibility to attend free study-preparatory language courses at the IIK in partial or full scholarships.

What are the requirements for a scholarship?
- Fled from a region of war or crisis
- Interest in studying at a German university
- Ability to study in the sense of a school-leaving certificate that is accepted by German universities
- Willingness to take part in a full-time language course programme and to complete intensive learning units outside of course times
- current place of residence in Göttingen
What do you receive in the full scholarship?
- Funding for the entire language course programme from A1-C1 (duration: approx. 1 year)
- Textbooks (excl. grammar books)
- possible start: January / April 2023
What is a partial scholarship?
- Funding for individual language courses at the levels B2.1, B2.2 or C1
How can I apply?

- Letter of motivation containing the following information:
- educational background to date
- description of the desired course of study
- personal motivation to learn German
- desired courses and desired start date (here you will find our programme for 2023)
- previous diplomas from your home country in German, English or French
- any language certificates you may have on your German language skills
Please only apply if you are sure you can participate in the entire programme you have chosen!
